La Perruche sugar is chosen from the best selection of sugar cane, which predominantly comes from French Overseas Territories such as Martinique or Guadeloupe in the West Indies; or Reunion Island in Indian Ocean. Harvested and pressed from July to December, the sugar cane produces a sweet liquid that thickens into a syrup before the formation of the first crystals.
The sugar is refined in Nantes, a port on the west coast of France. Their unique method of production combines traditional processes with the latest technological innovations, in order to improve and enhance the best that nature has to offer.
To make their sugar cubes, white and brown cane sugar is moulded and then broken into irregular pieces. Each cube weighs between 3 and 6 grams, which means that everyone can find the right size for them. These premium quality sugar cubes have a rich and perfumed taste with hints of honey and vanilla.
Cassonade is a 100% raw, unrefined pure cane sugar, obtained by purifying and then crystallising sugar cane juice. It is amber in colour and has a distinctive aroma with hints of rum and vanilla.View products by La Perruche
