Ringawera
Ringawera Lavash (pronounced lavosh) is made by hand in small batches on Waiheke Island in the Hauraki Gulf. It is an unleavened dough rolled extemely thin, brushed with olive oil and sprinkled with salt and or seeds or spices and then baked, resulting in a delicious, thin, crisp bread.
The name "Ringawera" translated literally means "hot hands" and is the name given to those who work in kitchens preparing food.
The lavash is wonderful served with cheeses, dips - even by itself with a glass of wine!
